1. Description:
Black silicon carbide is brittle and sharp. It has a good electrical and heat conductivity Knoop
hardness. Grinding wheels made of C are suitable for the grinding of metal and nonmetallic
materials of low tensile strength such as grey cast iron, brass, aluminium, stone materials,
leather and rubber etc. Moreover, it can also be used in the manufacture of refractory products
and electric products etc.
2. Applications:
Black Silicon Carbide is extremenly hard, sharp and agressive. It is harder than aluminium oxide. Black Silicon Carbide grits are chemically stable, high resistance, and also can be recycled many times
Application:
(1) Cleaning, descaling, coating and contamination removal, etching and surface preparation of ferrous and non ferrous metallic parts prior to rework, painting, coating, anoldizing and powder coating.
(2) Removal of thermal metal spray and carbon deposits from jet and gas engine components abd turbochargers prior to rebuild, anodizing and thermal metal spray.
(3) Decorative glass, stone, metal and wood etching and carving
